What a token is
A token is prepaid platform currency. Instead of paying for each action with your card, you buy a bundle of tokens and spend them as you go. The idea is convenience, but it also hides the real dollar value of each action, which is why a quick calculation is worth doing.
Do the math before you buy
Divide the pack price by the number of tokens to get the cost per token. Larger packs usually cost less per token but tempt you to spend more. Bonus tokens sound generous, so check whether they expire. If a site does not show the cost per token clearly, treat that as a warning sign.
Where the money goes
